Provo Water Company Headquarters

Project type

Commercial

Location

Turks and Caicos

The new headquarters for Provo Water Company provides a consolidated and efficient operational base for one of Turks & Caicos’ most critical public utilities.

JWA Architects led the architectural design in collaboration with SWA Architects, bringing together administrative offices, customer-facing functions and specialist laboratory facilities within a single purpose-built development.

Occupying a prominent corner site, the building is organised as two primary volumes unified beneath a lightweight roof and arranged around a central courtyard. This configuration supports passive ventilation, shaded circulation and clear operational legibility.

The architectural language is restrained and robust, referencing local building traditions through rendered façades while incorporating timber detailing, louvered openings and open-air walkways to enhance environmental performance and long-term durability in a coastal climate.

Environmental strategies include passive ventilation throughout circulation areas, water-efficient systems, climate-resilient materials and shaded landscaping. A central water feature provides microclimatic cooling and reinforces the identity of the building. The completed headquarters delivers a resilient, sustainable and future-focused workplace for Provo Water Company.
