Lavender House is a beautiful countryside family home located in the village of South Croxton, Leicestershire. The involved designing a large, contemporary rear extension to the existing home.

Although an overall modern look was desired, the extension was carefully designed to retain the character and feel of the existing house. Sections of interior brickwork and arches were left exposed, and materials such as aluminium and grey slate blend with the palette of the original house.

The large open plan space incorporates a modern kitchen, dining and living area flowing seamlessly into existing rooms.

Sliding aluminium doors open onto a wooden decking area and outdoor entertainment space, offering incredible views over the garden and of the rolling countryside beyond. Extensive use of glass allows natural light to fill the interior space all day and gives an incredible indoor/outdoor feel.
