A Strong Finish to the Year for the JWA Development Monitoring Team

December has been an energetic and productive month for the Development Monitoring team at JWA Architects, with significant progress across multiple Costa Coffee drive-thru projects nationwide. As part of Costa’s ongoing UK expansion strategy, our team continues to support the delivery of new-build sites through meticulous monitoring, ensuring each project stays aligned with programme, quality, and client expectations.

Four Drive-Thru Units Successfully Handed Over

We are pleased to confirm the handover of four Costa Coffee drive-thru locations for fit-out this month:

• Castleford

• Ashford

• Maidstone

• Sunderland

All four units were delivered to the Costa fit-out teams on schedule, allowing works to proceed in time for pre-Christmas openings. Despite some areas still undergoing minor construction activity during inspections, overall progress remained consistent and positive across all locations.

Further Sites Progressing Into Early 2026

In addition to this month’s completed handovers, several further sites continue progressing well on-site and are preparing for their respective handover phases in the New Year:

• Basildon

• Edinburgh

• Wrexham

• Market Harborough

Each of these schemes is advancing steadily, with construction nearing final stages. Our team will continue to oversee progress closely, ensuring each project transitions smoothly into Costa’s internal fit-out programme.
