Sulby Hall, Sulby Park Farm, Northamptonshire

JWA Architects have been appointed in consultation with English Heritage, Natural England and Daventry District Council to undertake a strategy of repair of Sir John Soane’s original Sulby Park Stables formed an important composition of outbuildings associated with the former Sulby Hall designed by Sir John Soane in circa 1794.

The commission requires historical and anecdotal research to ensure that the work undertaken does not compromise the buildings historical integrity whilst also meeting the statutory designations, maintenance and management as well as providing a future use for the buildings for the current owners.

It is proposed that traditional building techniques will be employed with a limited removal of later 20th Century intrusions to enable Soane’s vision to be returned.
